Constant Potential Charging Method.

Our Constant voltage or constant potential chargers work by delivering current into a discharged battery until the voltage reaches the gassing or set point. The charging current is then gradually reduced to a level sufficient to maintain the battery indefinately without overcharge.

The animation begins with the charger delivering a current limited maximum of 10A into a 24V lead-acid battery. The current will fall slowly once the battery voltage reaches 2.25 volts per cell or 27.2VDC.
Notice how the charging current ramps up? This is a standard feature on all CBC chargers.
