Switch Tripping Constant Current Charging Method.
Our Constant current chargers used in switch tripping applications encompass
aspects of both the constant current and constant voltage regime. They
function by delivering a fixed constant current into the battery until
it reaches the set point (fully charged voltage) when they are switched to
a low trickle charge.
The animation begins with the charger delivering a current limited
maximum of 10A into
a 24V nicad battery. The current will stay at
full current until the battery reaches 1.41
volts per cell at which point the unit switches to trickle.
